What are the dates for Orientation?

Session A: Thursday, June 13 – Friday, June 14
Session B: Tuesday, June 18 – Wednesday, June 19
Session C: Saturday, June 22 – Sunday, June 23
Check-in will run from 9:00am – 9:45am on the Shamie Green. The session will conclude at 1:00pm on the second day.

How do you register for Orientation?

Orientation registration is completed online. A registration link will be posted Tuesday May 15th at 3:00pm.

When can I register for Orientation?

Registration for Orientation will open on Tuesday, May 15 at 3:00pm

What is a typical Orientation day like?

All Summer Orientation sessions begin with check-in at 9:00am on our Shamie Green, followed by a series of activities and presentations for both students and their guests. Students and guests follow separate schedules and will be separated for the majority of the day.

Some of the information covered for families and guests will be financial aid, academic advising, food services, campus wellness and preparing your student for success.

Students will learn about academic life, meeting classmates and participate in a variety of social activities.

Are families & guests allowed to stay overnight?

Families & guests are encouraged to stay overnight during Session C as part of a Family/Guest Orientation session. (Saturday, June 22 – Sunday, June 23).

Families & guests will be housed in a Copper Beech residence hall.  Overnight accommodations will be granted on a first come, first served basis.

The cost of overnight accommodations is $50.00 per person and will include the following:

  • Housing in the Copper Beech Residence Hall (apartment style housing, with private bedroom and shared bathrooms & common areas)
  • Linens (Bed sheets, blankets, pillows & towels)
  • Lunch & dinner on day one and breakfast on day two
  • An extended Family & Guest Orientation program that will run 10:15am – 11:00pm on day one and 9:00am – noon on day two.
